LOVE
I decided to blog about Love, as I'm noticing that its misinterpreted by many and respected by few, but neglected by most. Just as there is order with all things under the sun, there is an order to Love as well. I am no doctor of anything, but this is my interpretation of Love and how it should exist.
First and foremost, above all, GOD is love. And as such it never fails. But in order for that to be the case, GOD must be ever present, therefore guiding Love. By that I mean simply the following: Just as God breathed life into you, He gave you the ability to Love. And when you love, its a gift from God. Meaning when you want to express that Love or spread that Love to another, GOD must be the source to sustain that LOVE. In doing so, Love will never fail, nor will it ever cease to be enough or sufficient, because it stems directly from the hand of an omnipotent and all knowing source.
Secondly, in LOVE, there is RESPECT. First, RESPECT of self, then of whoever you desire to share/spread LOVE to. In respecting self, you set boundaries for how the love should exist and when it should go to the next level. In respecting others, you show them that you honor their spot in their journey. When you honor someone's journey, they are more likely to respond to you positively because you aren't forcing, demanding or insisting anything upon them that they aren't ready for.
Thirdly, in LOVE there is admiration. Just as in Christ, he admires our presence and we admire His. Therefore, there's mutual presence of goodness and light within the relationship. When you admire someone, not only do you acknowledge who and what they are in their wholeness, no matter what their pasts may reveal, but you also show them that who and what they are is important to you. And you seek to nourish their presence.
Lastly, LOVE is PATIENT. Yes, patience is a virtue and nowadays facing extinction. But if somehow you can find it within to slow down, and ease into a smooth transition of emotions, rather than rushing into something prematurely, LOVE will probably set sail with a better chance of survival. Without patience, nothing is obtainable. Everything under the sun has its time. Realizing this, you will start to see that LOVE is not exempt. And the old saying is true, "Good things come to those who wait"
So...
Next time LOVE lingers in the air, assess it first, ponder these points and ask yourself if the LOVE you feel or see lurking, is an extension of these principles. Now, by no means do not expect 100% positive results, but the aim of this blog is to plant a seed, hoping one will reap the harvest. And in doing so, you yourself can inspire others.
Peace and LOVE for the journey...
