It's Not Finished...

When you get to that point where it feels good enough on the inside that you feel goosebumps on your skin, you know you have arrived. It may have been a long journey. Days, weeks, years...but you have finally arrived. Its the moment you realize its all been worth it. Every tear cried, every sleepless night, every breakdown, meltdown and moment of sorrow or pain...all for this very moment. You have arrived.
Not to take away from the journey and all you may have sacrificed since day one. The shut offs of everything you may have found pleasure in doing, but duty called. The cancellations you had to make to keep appointments elsewhere, or to self. The nights you would have rathered watch the game or do some shopping, or sleep, you didn’t...remember those moments. In them, you birthed discipline.
Lets not eliminate the times you were denied, overlooked, delayed, or ignored...you kept going. You kept fighting because you knew you had to or you would burst trying...congratulations. You have met dedication.
Which may have never had the moment to be experienced had you not made up in your mind that no matter what others said, or didn’t say, or told you, you relied on self. Kudos, you have identified commitment and perseverance.
Adhering to the blueprints you have created led under the direction of a spirit that dwells in you, you continue to set a mark...keep going.

Life may look ugly sometimes, but theres so much beauty in what God has given us, that it doesn’t make any sense to ignore it...reject it...and within this beauty lies a gift, specifically, for you. Whether or not you have identified the gift(s) is solely your responsibility and only God can lead you. After all, he’s omnipotent. This part may sound beautifully broken, but its the part that matters most.

If you know what it feels like to get a nod from God, confirming that what you are doing is what you should be doing...to make him a proud father...you understand this...you’re ahead of the game, your challenge lies in not letting go, or deterring, and if (and when) you do, knowing how to get back.

I attest to the fact that its a beautiful energy from your spirit...you whole existence smiles...cuz you have arrived.

Stay encouraged...its not finished…

Spiritual Warfare

Spiritual Warfare.
Demons.
Most human beings travel through life striving to be of a particular stature or have obtained a goal in this life. More often than not this journey is toward upward mobility in life...seeking match to what God has planned for us and our lives on Earth.

In our journey we stumble, rise, fail, succeed and press on. Our omission of keeping God at the top of our actions and main resource for all things good for us, only makes spiritual warfare difficult. What one fails to grasp about what spiritual warfare is, before warfare begins, is a sure fire way to let the the devil and his demons determine how it ends...stealing all the life your spirit had and turning it back to God unused, misused, abused, leaving you broken...period.

Many of us, will rob, still, cheat, manipulate, lie, kill, and abuse for personal gain or satisfaction...which will (possibly) place you where you aim to be...However, where will it leave you spiritually?
Our spiritual beings dwell in us, deep into every living organ and system within us. We feel things in our hearts, conscience, stomachs, brains, knees, fingertips, eyes....and its all a sign...if we are listening to our spiritual selves.

Spiritually, we are to be of sound mind, body and spirit, to edify our Father in Heaven. We cannot permit space in our lives for negativity, doubt, envy, fear, jealousy, greed, possession, etc. to manifest through the actions of Satan. What this does to our spiritual beings leads to our demise...defeat. Being defeated by the enemies advances only permits the devil to knock you off your footing and gain ground in his battle that lives within you. It doesn't solve, fix, heal, or mend any of the things that are shattered, bruised, broken, and defeated.

Does submitting to the will of God for your life scare you? Does submitting to allowing His whispers to you at night and experiences delivered to and through you during the day leave you thirsty for more of this space...this blessing? What are you losing by trusting the will that dwells in the spirit given to you through God and a part of you through Jesus? Think of all you have to gain...Doubting Gods depth of love for you is unhealthy. The path our demons take us on when we submit to them is deadly.

Our pasts leave scars...God heals. Our pasts leave us broken...God fixes. Our pasts leave us hollow, unfulfilled...the Joy of the Lord gives you strength. Our pasts leave us...lost...God finds us. Our pasts leave us, idle, God will utilize you for His greatness for your life. Give it to Him...and He will give you rest.

The only way to the top is at the bottom...fall to your Father in heaven...call to Him when you're inflicted. Seek his protection during spiritual warfare. The only one who can find that which is greater than us, within us, but not of us, is the one who created us in His image, God. Don't depend on self so much that it cripples your freedom in God...don't get too comfortable being the center of attention...don't get to "in the clouds" in  God your position that it diminishes your humility just to be in control of someone or something. God asks us to submit to his will, be obedient to his word, without idolatry or pride, but stay humble in our "pursuit of happiness" on Earth. Its too costly for our spirit..during the war.

Turning your No into a YES

1. Be Creative. 2. Failure fuels success 3. Stay Positive
Life throws curve balls that test us...challenge us...expect of us...or just to observe us. Sometimes we have to seek help, guidance, support, or any combination of those things from other people. Sometimes people will provide us what we need, while others will turn a blind eye to our situation. This support system isn't very reliable, let alone functional after one usage, without reciprocity. Most of the time I consider this a NO, unless its really necessary, or I feel someone was placed in my path specifically to aid me.
Then there is another source of energy that we carry within. This energy is something of the divine nature...more spiritual...that presence of God within us. And sometimes this energy sways with our motions while other times it does not. However, God is always with us...and remember that the teacher is always silent during the exam...What's most important to remember, however, is that God never turns a blind eye to our situations. God doesn't expect anything of us beyond obeying Him and spreading his love to his people. Simple.
God doesn't want to see us struggle. He does not find pleasure in watching his children suffer. But he does punish the unjust and just...fairly. But as any Father does, he knows went to sit back and when to step in. And sometimes its best he step back to see how we will carry ourselves through our storms. As we carry ourselves, we rely on others. We tend to rely on people to be our support systems, and get mad when they fail to come to our aid...NEWSFLASH...there is no human walking this earth that was made perfect, without flaw and in this case, ALWAYS there for fellow (wo)men. So to put reliance on a source that cannot supply perfection and our every need, is foolish...the only living creature who can do that is God. But we put our hopes in an imperfect root expecting perfection...bad move. And it is less than pleasing to God.
Don't fail God and self by relying on man to support you....that's an AUTOMATIC NO
But if you "look to the hills" and "pray until something happens" and "believe in the impossible and see the invisible" through FAITH, don't be surprised when mountains start to move. By FAITH, your wisdom is made strong. Thus making moves toward a YES. The Yes you felt entitled to without any REAL WORK. Its easy to ask someone else to do it for you. But to put in work and dedication to FAITH and WISDOM and FAVOR in God, now that takes confidence and diligence.
Be strong in the Lord and all his majestic power...understand that as an obstacle is placed before you (A No), a simple look to God and trust in his omnipotence could place you on the path to a YES
Don't have to take my word for it...just try it yourself.
1. Be Creative. 2. Failure fuels success 3. Stay Positive

A Little Love...

Love never ends. There are gifts of prophecy, but they will be ended. There are gifts of speaking in different languages, but those will stop. There is a gift of knowledge, but it will come to an end. ~ I Corinthians 13:8

The gifts He gives us
Transcend from the Heaven's
Cast upon our hearts
And into the rhythms of our soul
They take hold of us
Become Us
And then we become dust...

But in between the seams
Of what seems to be an eternity
Of Heartaches, headaches
Time and time again
Frustrated we become
Vexed with demons of
Procastination and Deception
Spewed and coiled
With Turmoils and dramas
Leaving us feeling defeated
Depletied to nothingess
All the while in sin
...Sometimes...
But love...
Love grabs hold of us
Holds us tight
Dusts the dirt from our feet
Whispering to the spirit of His son within
And giving us strength
To begin again...
In love
Because,
Love
Never
Fails...

Today was tough...and as my little sis Ka'Nesha Hython pointed out, its been tough on a lot of people. I woke up this morning with a dark cloud over my spirit. Its as if every negative thought and emotion had been poured into my gut and thought....it was a tough morning. As the morning progressed and I got to work, the dark cloud only got bigger...and my frustration intensified. All I kept thinking was, this sucks...and people are getting on my nerves!!!!...and why am I so irked?

So I ran through all the scenarios of where this energy was coming from, and I "assessed" my feelings...and I came up short of a conclusion. So, anyone who knows where I work, this is NOT the place for a breakdown. Too many lives are in my hands at work. So anyway, some "hidden" tears later, I realized my spirit was being tested. I am an emotional individual, in the sense that I feel EVERYTHING, and I don't supress what I feel. So naturally, all my emotions all morning were in a negative space...so much so that i had uncontrollable tears. So I went to my "prayer closet" at work and just talked to God about what was on my heart. I was feeling defeated exhausted, overburdened, overworked and underpaid, simultaneously feeling lonely. So I talked and I talked to my earthly angel and afterward, the dark cloud got a little lighter, and continued to do so until it was gone...LOVE lifted me.

I reminded myself that in this life, its not always going to be great...and everything you ask for will be provided, in HIS time...and that all things will pass...and it could be much worse...and I knew this because I've been there...

this helped me breath a bit

And my day ended on a good note.

Whatever you are going through...keep your head to the sky. There is a spirit of negativity in the air. Not for all, but I can say more than a few people feel me. Its not here by coincidince. Recognize it for who and what it is...the devil trying to stop the work God has for you...OR the devil trying to block what God has for you...OR the devil trying to convince you that you aren't worthy...OR the devil just trying to defeat you....

But in the love of God we are made strong. Rest in God's love for a moment. Listen to His voice...and don't wait until bedtime...do it now.

The end is near...

I won't be left behind
Will You?

Peace for the Journey

A Time When I knew it was God

A time when I knew it was God was when the world, as I knew it, was kicked to the curb and in a sense, I became homeless. Not that God hadn't provided a roof for me to lie under, but it was far from a "home." I felt too old and far too many times I had crawled back to my parents home. So I sucked it up and faced what God had for me, on my own.
Not only had this ignited a flame of hatred and disgust shining brightly in the vessel of my soul, but I was afraid. Could I face this on my own? Would I get through this and remain sane and free (from crime) on the other side? I didn't know for sure, but I knew I had to try. All I knew is that God had brought me to it, and that meant He would bring through it.
Days, I worked hard. Saving every penny I could. My socializing was work and helping others when I could. Nights, I cried myself to sleep and prayed that God would remove the black hole of unforgiveness and despise from my soul. Never before had this been done to me. Never had man forsaken me so. So much so that I desired to make my transgressor suffer, severely.
Time passed and with each day, the pit of darkness in my soul got smaller and smaller. Until one day, it closed. And I knew it was nothing but God, because no one knew what I was enduring BUT God and my parents, praying parents.
See, when we look to others to be the supplier of our grace and mercy, we always come up short. Man is unable to forgive the way God does. Man cannot see past that moment when we fall short, or don't "fit" the mold they've created for us. Man cannot heal wounds deeply embedded in our spirits...the way we think, what we feel, what our character strengths and weaknesses are...only God can do that. Our faith in and on Him teach us how to move past mans falsities and seek Him first....and when we are down and out, our faith is what gives us strength to keep going despite circumstance.
I know my situation my not be dramatic or over the top, but its simplistic in the sense that you can see God through the earthly dwellings and misteps. Its evident that my flesh had grown weak and tired, but my spirit remained in tact and strong...and through my spirit, I was able to come out of my circumstance.
He never leaves us nor forsakes us, we just loose sight of Him sometimes. But we're never alone. And remember the teacher is always silent during the exam.

In Remembrance...

WWJD Moment: When God places people in your path who are in need, the first thing to do is assess the situation, ask yourself: Is this a repetitive motion, have I been down this path and have I played the "bailout game" (everytime they need something, is the ONLY time my phone rings, and they are on the other end)? If no, then proceed to question two, do I have in my capacity what it is that this individual may be in need of, or do I know someone who can assist me in helping them? If the answer is yes, then proceed to the third and final question, What Would Jesus Do? And the answer to that question is obvious, HELP THEM....Often times, we pass these moments, being too caught up in and on self...what needs to be done, how we are feeling, "why me", what we could be doing with our time, etc. etc. etc. But in this, we forget that God placed us ALL under one umbrella called EARTH...and he placed us here to learn how to get closer to him and give to one another and share with one another as we roam this place. Never not once did it say "turn your back on your brother" in the best book ever written. So, why we continue to do so, is humanistic failure...which calls for a re-boot in our Christian duty. Don't look past a situation, or circumstance because you're too busy or selfish in your own business. Because the next time we need Jesus, he may recall that moment when you were too busy. And don't do it with the expecation of a blessing, do it because God's word tells you to and He is your father who sits high and looks low and covers you on everything in between, just cuz you call his name...simply. I'm not going to preach a sermon, although I very well could, but my moral is this and then I will be out of your way and you can go back to checking, liking, and reposting stats of events, parties, and what your favorite celebrity has said or tweeted in the past hour....know that God is watching your decisions, both internal and external, and know that the person you see everyday, who may be silently struggling, and internally you feel something pulling at your heart strings, and your gut is screaming, "do what needs to be done", listen to those instincts...you never know you may be just what was needed. Be that light in their darkness God has called you to be...theres a humility within this process that i believe the world needs a little more of...

Sometimes its the hardest thing to do...

Letting go...of her, him, it, them, they, a situation, a job, a circumstance...any way you slice it, letting go in any capacity is never easy...

Fear sets in, all the what ifs, the wonderment and desire to try again...measures up to nothingness. Especially when you've tried repeatedly and failed. I once heard it that the definition of insanity is to try to do the same thing over and over again, yet coming up with the same result. Are you in this repetitious cycle of nothingness??

You tell yourself that there isn't enough security... or that the grass may not be greener on the other side...so you constantly find a reason (or a million) to stay where you are. Complacency...its dangerous and unhealthy. When you walk in complacency, you give up on self. That means you forfeit the ability to blame others for your situation or circumstance because you decided to side with minimum risk and maximum comfort. Sometimes discomfort is necessary to grow...to thrive...to live. And its not always left up to YOU to decide what is the right amount of discomfort...sometimes things are greater than you...

And because things may be greater than you, sometimes it takes an extra push to get you to move your feet, and nature, the powers that be, or God may have to step in to make things happen. And if you are attentive, you will be awaken out of your complacency in the most unexpecting ways...but if you're attentive, the means will justify the end...and you will reach that "awakening" moment and realize its time to turn the page.

And if your blessed enough to have people in your life who love you even when you don't love yourself enough to let go, their voice will seem louder than ever in your ear, confirming the time has come to let go...you have a choice to listen or ignore, but don't start to question why that special person(s) has become distant or non existant if you choose to ignore....sometimes you can push those you love away from you if you side with complacency rather than let go...you may be a hindrance to yourself or the fruitful potential of relationships in your life.

Your days may seem long and drawn out, your nights may be restless, and your thoughts stuck...stuck in the cycle you have created...wondering what why and when things are gonna change, when in reality, you have the power to change it all, by letting go. This path leads to a miserable existence. And who wants to be miserable in life. Why be miserable when there is so much to do, see, experience, and remember about our short time on Earth? Why chance these opportunities because what you have is more comfortable than the unknown, the unfamiliar, but so desired?

When all points in your life, all significances in your existence, point to the necessity for change to take place...why go against it? All it will do is leave you miserable, unfulfilled, and a bunch of negative energies and thoughts, and last but not least, alone.

Suggestion: Write down that which you fear about letting go...then write down all that you could possibly gain from letting go. Next, pray about it, then meditate....then listen to the voice within your gut. The voice that you may have been ignoring, the voice that may have been whispering for some time, but your cyclical thoughts had silenced...just listen. Often times we tell ourselves more than we give ourselves credit for. No one knows you better on this Earth than you. And most of the time, if we are attuned to ourselves, we know it too, we just don't listen. Once you've done all this...the hard part is done already...
The final step....LET GO. And move on...the best is yet to come.

Its not going to be easy at first, no. Nothing in life that's worth having is going to come easy. But easy will come. Just be consistent...you owe it to yourself...stick with it. You'll see...things will fall into their proper place...its the way nature goes...and to think, it all started, when you decided to let go...

I dare you....

Peace and Blessings
