One's who hated me, mistreated me

Kicked me with they heels and raped me

Of the things that were once given freely

Everything in life is costly

Charge it to the game I must

To improve upon this life is tough

Growing stronger on the daily

Thankful for the lessons life gave me

My heart grows larger and colder simultaneously

Through the things placed before me

Being used for my kindness

Misconstrued for weakness

No such thing. It's useless

Fighting a battle alone, truth is

Strength is in the numbers

Rallying troops like a governor

Charging taxes like uncle Sam

Lost in the cipher...damn

So much crosses my mind

Turning the hands of time

For the babies I will be strong

The child with a swollen belly

The mother who's pot is melting

The father who works hard

For those with a dream

They all can live on through me

So as I have a fight left to bring

The morgue is too full of our bodies

Books used to be a hot commodity
